What materials are you planning on using? Surely foam will be too bulky for this?

Pasticard for the overlapping plates probably, then I may be cheeky and modify riot armour for the lower legs, not sure though it depends how much time I have.

The primary feature will of course be the Klaive, giant sexy blade that it is.

Okay people, I need advice.

As with all Eldar armour, the greaves are shaped to the leg, curving in with the calf muscles. I tried this with my Dire Avenger armour, but just ended up with it going straight diagonally. How would you suggest going about getting the shape, bearing in mind they're fully enclosed?

If you want to get the shape, use what a friend of mine calls the 'duct tape method'. Basically he just wears something over that area of the body and just wrap it until it is rigid enough to stand, cuts it away, and patches it back together. He did this to make a manican for his MJOLNIR Mk VI armor and it worked!

As for enclosing the finished product, I have seen some members of the 405th make the greaves open on a hinge so that it is a tighter fit and looks so much better. That will be a whole lot easier than trying to pull it on.

As an almighty Incubus warrior, I fear nothing.

Except Squats... Squats scare the shite out of me.

Hmm, I'm thinking if I get the shape with duct-tape as you say, then stuff it so it's solid, I could heat up the plastic and wrap it around it so that it forms to that shape. I was thinking of hinging it, but I have no idea how to hinge something so thin and light.

You could use a piece of tough fabric. Glue it onto each part and the use magnets to keep it closed.
