Hey gang,
I just finished the mold process on my rosette sculpt. Here is the first piece cast in white resin.

What do you think?

I am guessing it weighs in around 4 to 5 ounces. I will put it on a scale and check.

Have you considered casting it in a rubber or dense foam to minimize breakage if it is on a costume?

My mold can take up to 800 degrees so I can make it in metal, resin, foam, rubber or whatever! [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

my only preference would have been too make the eye sockets deeper,

I made the original from wood and clay. I am going to cast one in metal and see how that turns out. [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

Well done. How much time did it take? I'm curious about redoing my inquisitorial bling, and that looks sweet.

Also, what did you make the mold out of?

I would say the total construction time was only 10 hours or so. I used RTV rubber to make the mold.
