Help! Patterning a Lord Relictor
« on: August 04, 2019, 02:16:42 PM »
Hello there, everyone! I've been a big a fan of this forum as I loved watching everyone do their costumes and post wips of their props in here, which is really wholesome as it help others out! So I decided to ask you pals out for help as I'm about to start my very first Warhammer build.
So,I've been doing cosplays for the small period of 2 years now,but all of them are small builds compared to Warhammer. My last 3 cosplays consist of Dovahkiin, Murloc (yess a goddamn foam murloc LMAO) and Geralt of Rivia that Im about to finally finish.
Thing is,all these and other cosplay I did were patterned on my own body to fit my own size. I never had to go through pepakura's printing  and I'm trying to understand what to do to get the right size for an oversized big build like a warhammer build.
I am going for a Lord Relictor cosplay, there are no pepakura's or patterns of Relictor online (well I could not find any) so I said to myself printing the Space marine Patterns then ALTERING them into Relictor's one would be the way to go,but here I find myself trapped in a beginner dillemna ; how to get the right size of the pepakura's (or patterns) to fit me in a balanced way and would not look weird/unbalanced? Considering I never worked with Pepakura's before, I'm trying to get what to exactly do.
For exemple,I've found the Terminator pepakura files in the library here. After downloading them, what should I exactly do before printing them? Should I alter them first so they become foam patterns ? Should I directly print them? Will they fit ?
Thanks for reading and I hope someone helps me out soon so I can finally start my Lord Relictor build,I am so excited about doing it :)
