cardboard and paper mache [help]
« on: October 23, 2019, 12:48:42 PM »
due to me being dumb and not getting more foam in time,i'm going to be making my costume out of cardboard and paper mache. my question is,besides for filling gaps, is there reason to paper mache the rest?i 'm going to be doing a black undercoat before i do the grey. i'm time crunched as is so if i can cut it out i would prefer to.i'll post the build as a go along in a separate topic.

It might help to hide the corrugated lines in the card board, that's if you're using the 2 ply stuff.  I haven't used it for this type of thing before, but it might sand like a body filler type of thing being paper and binder. Might be worth a try on some scrap carboard to see if its worth the effort. Good luck!
Winged freak,...wait til they get a load of me
