While not accurate in any way, this costume has been my favourite for quite some time. I've been working, modding and trooping in this armour, so I'm quite fond of the project.

Many will probably not like it, because its not karskrin armour. But I took what I could get and tried..

The older versions:

Posing pretty akwardly..

The newer versions, with new gear, but also, in need of repair

What do you think? This costume ( and the chainsword) is made for LARP'ing, so it should be noted that its not heavy nor difficult to move in. The chainsword is foam, thus a little .. bad.. most of the purity seals is made, to not break if hammered by foam weapons..

Its all made from Star wars clone armour, stormtrooper armour and various bits and pieces, gathered over the years. The helmet is a 'Stray dog'/ jin roh helmet, and the rebreather is just that.. a basic black rebreather (I've got several other, much better versions.. more 40k ish)

The green shirt underneath.. ignore it. Its just because I was too lazy to change, before suiting up..

In the words of SCHRAMBO: My shoulder plates need MOAR BIGGER!

I have to say, I like the older ver better... It feels more in tune with the Inq trooper vibe to me then the newer one.

I think the helmet is the main issue with the new set. It looks to much like the Jin Roh helmet it is and I can't get past that. Also the new shoulder looks to much like Judge Dread to me....

I guess I should just say that the 1st is more uniform while the second just looks cobbled together.

The Las gun with the 1st armor looks much better then the nerf gun in the second. I'd like to see some more pictures of it if you have them.

Sadly the hellpistol broke, because I was stupid enough to bring it to a Larp.. some idiot smashed it by stepping on it - and the frame was not solid enough for that kind of punishment..

heres some pics of it.. I haven't got any other pics of it sadly..

I kinda agree with your post

Heres some pictures of the armour with a different undersuit ( mind you, the guy who wears the armour was very skinny, so we had to stuff the underarmour with pillows to make it look proper)

And heres an old pic of the armour, from back in the old days.. No stomach plate though, and I miss the rebreather..

Ah, the vader under armor looks good with it. I really think you need to rebuild the hellgun, it's a shame it was damaged [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' />

I got several armours I can modify: The one in the pictures is a Clone armour from Attack of the clones, but I also have a rubies stormtrooper set, which is very bad for being a stormtrooper, but perfect for 40k plating [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' />

Thanks Djinn, much appriciated.

The Vader undersuit is a one-piece suit, so its a little snug-fit for me XD I just wish I could get a decent neck armour - I used a neckseal from a stormtrooper, but I've also tried using one from Predator.

The shins are just standard clone shins [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /> I just paid them a visit with a decent saw..

I might try and make a new hellpistol, maybe from a nerf nightfinder ( or whatever its called) Since most of the weapons should be functional for larp..  [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' />

I like the red tone of the weathering marks. Makes it look much more menacing.

The second rebreather looks cooler too.

I think if you sculpt the Imp egals and Inq icons so they are raised on the armor it would look really cool.

Good job.

Do you have any hints or tips for that? Since I'm very limited in materials for that purpose..

The only things I have that could be used is either green stuff or hobby clay ( not normal clay, but clay you can heat up in a normal oven to make solid)

more pics of my gear ( and messy workstation, which used to be my living room ):

Here's my power fist, I have two 'fists' for it, a closed punching fist and a dynamic movable glove

Awesome powerfist [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

Must see more detail of the finished paint job because that looks so cool! [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />
