Full Combat Armour
« on: June 12, 2016, 10:51:39 AM »
Hey, Im new to this site, but allow me to give a general idea.
I run a airsoft renactment group for the warhammer universe, it is all fine and dandy a large player bass and so forth. But as the player bass grows I wish to make multiple suits of space marine (and chaos space marne) armour for some players to use at events, we have the guns, the swords, all that no problem. So my question falls to this

Is there a simple list to follow, how do I go about making them, so airsoft pellets dont destroy them (leaving battle scars is fine) cheaper is better so any budget tips help aswell.

Thanks in advance

-Nikolas

If you want to make Space Marine armor for airsoft then you should use fiberglass. No matter how much FPS those guns have, after 3-4 layers of fiberglass everything will bounce off.
Or you could use sheet metal. It's really good for Imperial Guard armor. There are tutorials for both on this website.

Good luck!

Some one else said I should use  vacuforming because Fiber Glass would crack to easily. Any opinion on that idea?

Yes, fiberglass cracks easily, and that's why you need to do multiple layers.

Im looking for the pattern files, but I believe them to all be over sized, any idea where I can get armour templates that dont require stilts, just for normal people
