Is the buckle stiched in or held by snaps? If it's snaps, you could always just get a longer belt and add the buckle to the bigger belt.

They are fairly cheap, here is one from amazon..

I don't think it's stitched in, but I'm not too sure how to remove it. The belt itself does look similar to the one in the link you sent.

Generally it is by folding the leather over, and then stiching, riveting, or using snaps.  Honestly, I usually just cut it off.
