Abaddon the Despoiler build WiP

I have just cleaned up the toe a little bit and have made the trim for it.





I also stopped by B&Q on the way home. got myself some wood, pvc pipe and some corner and T joints to make the stilts.

I am now off for the next two days, so I plan to get this foot done and start on the first grieve.

Lookin good so far. I forgot he had such pronounced chaos star trim on his boots, but that's pretty sot-on. Like the oldskool chaos terminator boots. Whaddaya got planned for the stilts?

Thanks! I have finished the boot. All glued in place. I just need to get some filler, add damage and sand it all down.





For the stilts I am going to use Sylgian's stilt concept.

Another  little update, well, a rater large update lol. Now, the trim and such is not on yet, so this is just a base.One right leg!!!! Well, foot and grieve.





Can I just say... I freaking LOVE foam! It is the way to go. For cereal.

That grieve looks bad ass let me  just that. Love those round cut outs at the top.

LOL I used an astrology light,  cylindrical light box that projects the constellations on the roof, as a template to make the cut-outs equal. Just need to find a decent sized skull for the knee, either that or I will have to make one.

Is it bad I want to try and make one? I have plenty off cuts to give it a whirl....

Nah man you making the skull would allow you more creativity in how it looks! If your on a time crunch buying the skull would be easier but  making your own would allow u to get the look u want

Well, I will attempt the hand made skull. See how that turns out lol If not, I will raid the maternal unit's halloween gear for a decent skull lol

Another small teasingly textual update.

I have done the outer trim on the right grieve front. Tomorrow afternoon will be spent finishing off the trim, doing the rear trim, and starting on the spikes and skull, the dark God's willing.

Well, Lupus, wait no more.

The outer trim is glued in place, the inner "detail" is just pinned in place for now.






Here is a pic with the skull template I used, just to give it some colour, great to build with, but being ll one colour, the foam does not photograph too well with crappy cameras.
