The other option is you attach them to something opaque that keeps the light from bouncing into your eyes.
It's actually prett easy. LEDs primarily show light in one direction so you just make sure that end is pointed at the other guy (kind of like a sword or gun [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /> ). The other option is you attach them to something opaque that keeps the light from bouncing into your eyes. As far as light getting into the eye holes most LEDs have a max viewing angle of 90 degrees, so the light from above is more like shining a dim flashlight above you than directly into your eyes.
