Speaking of other costumes, I'd like to do this for Halloween.

But I could use some advice.

I've got the uniform and boots already, although I'll need to do a little minor sewing on the uniform.  I'll need the belt, backpack, shredded Union Jack, and makeup/mask.

For the Union Jack I can just get a cheap $5 polyester flag, rip it up, and stick it on an old broken broomstick or shovel handle or something.  No problem there.

For the makeup, I think this and a bald wig could work if I blend them together with stage makeup.

For the belt, it should be something like this, but does anyone know where I could buy or make something similar for less than $70?

For the backpack, something like this should work right?

So what do you think?

Have you ever thought about this as a mask? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001GTR3BS/ref=as...BS&linkCode=asn Granted the others will more than likely work better cause they seem to give you the ability to move your mouth.

hah, I was actually considering cosplaying the Trooper rendition of Eddie a while back, but decided against it.

Vic Rattlehead was another choice, too.

If it helps your searching, that belt is called a Sam Brown belt.

@Bolterboy, I thought about that but I'd like to be able to move my face.  I may go back to that though, it is a good deal cheaper.

@Korpsman, Eddie > Vic Rattlehead.  You should cosplay Zergface.

@wookieegunner, I've searched every possible permutation of portupeya, Sam Brown belt, and Sam Browne belt, and that's the only one I've found.  I'm thinking I may just buy two cheap white belts and sew them together.

Throw in a katana too.  You can cut a tank.  I saw it on the internet somewhere.

What Eddie is wearing is the 1879 pattern Slade Wallis webbing used by the British Army at that time

You can buy it... in leather... from Sutlers but it will cost you...
For a cheaper alternative I would suggest you by some thin white leather and make it yourself following the style above.
