Mecha Cosplay Tutorial on RPF: It's got some good stuff.
« on: October 16, 2013, 10:16:29 AM »
So, I was looking around the internet for some Gundam pep files and I ran into this gem. It's a tutorial on making mecha and other forms of robot cosplay. I know that this is isn't directly 40k related, BUT, this basically details a lot as far as armor set up is concerned and can be used for Space Marine builds as well. Anyone still wondering what to do for platforms for their builds, this details on 3 different ways you can make leg platforms, each divided into 3 other ways. Also this has a interesting method for mounting shoulder guards that i personally plan on trying out.

Check it out, it's a awesome resource:

that's a great tutorial...was planning on building a Shin Musha Mk.1 (the Samurai)...

Tho the basics and fundamentals for each part / pieces are pretty much laid out and practiced in this forum by several of those building their respective suits, especially those with experience, which means we're on the right track hehehe

I agree.  I learned some of my techniques from guys making Iron Man or ODST suits.
