nice  may i ask what you have used for that "middle" part of the rifle? Just plastic bend in the right shape or what? I'm still looking something for my cannon

The plasma rifle became the cherry on top of your awesome build, sir!

The middle part of the rifle is 1/4 inch plexi (clear acrylic) that I heated up with a blowtorch and formed to the U shape I needed. Same for the strips making the details on that piece.  I gotta mod the arms a bit and the gloves (probably post con) to make it easier to hold.

So we got intonthe con 3 hours before closing time but we had time to set off quite a reaction. Hundres upon hundreds of photos taken of us, and the girl from the Toronto newspaper asking us permission to follow us around. It was awesome, looking forward to the masquerade tomorrow. Props to FanExpo for providing us with a dressing room.

We came out with "best in show for workmanship" given that we had no music no choregraphy and a set of 6 stairs to get on stage that was completely uncovered... the whole crowd could see us facing off vs our archenemy.

The con setup wasn't space marine sized costume friendly. We basically had to take it inside in pieces and assemble once inside. 100% worth it, met so many people, and a journalist even asked to follow us around.
