Something I've been thinking for a while.
Working chain sword.
I.give this a try if I have my lightning claws finished.

What do y'all think? Can I get it work that way?

I built one using toy chainsaws. My current idea was to 3D print some wheels that could fit over Rollerblade bearings ( to reduce friction) and 3D print the chain-links.

you can see the thread I started here.

and the WIP fro the other one that's been in limbo...I need to start workings on that again...:)

Video of someone else who mad one in china based of the same idea. (made after mine)

Someone else made a bitchin' one out of a right angle drill...Ah-ha! t was Worldeater888 and his thread is here. I priced out the drills and it was a little pricy to but if you hhave an old one or can get one cheap it's a nice high torque option :)

Nice lecture...
I decided to go with a 25T brushed RC Motor...the have around 14500 RPM and enough torque.
I think I make a model in Autocad to get the right idea to make a stable sword.

I made some templates for the sword.
Now I can testing with some RC motors and fit all electronics inside the sword.

Maybe I can put a speaker inside.

If all fits together a friend will waterjetting this thing...

I tested the space inside the sword and a 540 motor will fit nicely into it.
Now I will finish it to look how it will work and where are the right places for all components.

I loot my rc stuff for this...:D

I miss judged the size...it's big enough for a Commissar or some human but only the half size for a space marine...

If I double the size I can put an fuel engine in this thing...har har....

I made some new lenses.
I think it looks better than glowspex and it's way more brighter and I can change the colors if I want to.
I can use 4 energy sources, I made a small atomic reactor to use it if I go with the helmet. I can use a 9V block or 8 AA batteries or can use it with a power supply at home.

The last two pictures are an idea for using left over led strips.
