Just a quick picture so people can see my colour scheme.

The skulls fell off the knees and I'm not sure whether I want to put them back on or not.  I do need to cover up to blemishes they left when they came off so I might end up gluing them on again.

Okay had a flurry of activity with no pictures so here are a few pics of where I stand tonight.

Got my gloves done

Got some purity seals done (still have more)

Finally this is what the armour looks like now

Now of course there is still much painting to be done.  Also I realize that my ability to keep things lined up and straight is obviously non-existant.

I will be making a robe and I have a cloak as well that I will be wearing so a  lot of the screw ups and blemishes will be covered so my perfectionist side can get along with my lack of practice side and I can wear this without freaking out about how I look.  I hope in the next couple weeks to have it all done and a video of me walking around in the finished product (or at least I better, the con is in a month...).

Looks great so far. Can't wait to see the finished piece and some video/pics

Quick picture of a test fit.  I'm really glad I'm gonna have a robe now that I look at how off center a lot of things are.

I think the 'off center ness' isn't too bad. The one thing that jumps out is the grate in the chest piece, but other than that, it looks pretty fine :)

I think it looks really good, and agree with you that a robe will make it even better.

Just be aware, with that vent in the center of the chest, most folks will ask if you're a Steampunk Iron Man :(  If you add MOAR BLING to the chest and shoulders to distract from the vent, that should stop the questions.

I am really enjoying watching the progress of this build.

A couple pics showing the sleeves.  The legs will be filled in with the same material.

I really like how it looks from the back and the sleeves filled it out exactly how I was hoping it would.  I will be sewing the robe and finishing my accessories this week.

I will be posting a video of moving in it as soon as it finished uploading.

Here's the video.  Sorry for it being recorded vertically like that, I didn't notice my brother holding the phone wrong.

One more update.  Got some accessories put on and tried the robe to see what it's like.

I kinda pissed at myself for not making the psychic hood taller.  It presses into my head and I have to watch how I stand.  I also need to break up all that robe somehow, gonna try some trim and some writing on it.  Also there are now some purity seals on the shoulders.

Here's another video of walking down the hall.

The robe really adds to it, and keeps it from looking "Iron Man-ish" with the chest vent.  I agree, it needs moar bling.

It's really come together beautifully.

I think you could break up the robe with some weathering. Mud, sacred unguent, burn marks, you name it. Nothing stays white in the wh40k universe (unless it is Eldar...)

So i wanted to have a pistol but due to my laziness I don't have time to make a bolt pistol so I just gave a nerf gun a makeover and am gonna call it an archaeotech pistol for the time being.

Couple detail updates.  Got some trim sewn on the robe as well as some details added to it.  Also made a box holster for my pistol.

Started with a simple box.

Drawing out the pattern for the trim.

Completed holster.

And the robe changes as well as where the purity seals ended up.

Well it's all as done as it's going to be for now.  I will be at Fan Expo in Toronto this week so if anyone is there look for me!  I will post a couple pics here and make a full gallery when I get back.
