I have finished Rodderik, my own servo skull, since i last posted... i will include pix as soon as i can find my digital camera. he just lacks a proper purity seal and a way to suspend him as i walk so he bobs and looks properly creepy for Halloween

That is a great looking servo skull. And having it work as a external hardrive is a stroke of genus!
I'm working on one at the moment and felt compelled to name him too. I wonder if everyone feels this naming urge when making one?

Looking forward to seeing him with seals attached.

Here's Selwynn my servo skull. Sadly he's not going to get finished for a while as I can't take him on my travels. Did anyone else come up with a back story for there skull?

mono filament is good if you can use a thin metal rod to move it high and allows him to bob like the is being suspended as hovering things often are not stable in the position they hold. i want to use ducted fans but that idea is a while off

i'm more of a fan of having them hanging off the costume personally, as it's hard to really display them "floating" above you without it looking alittle odd

though having a guardsman wandering around with a fishing rod behind you would be an entertaining spectacle

i'm personally going to have my skull built into the servo arm that comes from my backpack, once i get the full secutor costume done.

a friend of mine has recently made a servo skull also, lucky guy has a large income to spend so he can go for some very nice materials

on my face book i recently added pix of the template/alpha for the rebreather with vox for my tech priest.  they are in the same folder as the servoskull. made it a week ago in 10 min between episodes on adult swim. hope you don't mind the paper crafting but heavy paper is all i have to work with at the moment.

I just snorted soda up my nose when I imagined having Saint Sabbat's nine servo-skulls being held up by an honor guard holding fishing poles. [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />

Kommissar, I love the antiquing on that skull!

I have added my seal now to a Flickr page and a few other items. The finished Inquisitorial sigil with chain has not been up loaded but will be in soon. (so many promises I know...)
The creations so far.

On another note, Xmas has netted me a Dremel so work should be speeding up on detailed pieces...

You have made some great things there! I love the idea of keeping seal stamps in a hollow book. I was wondering what to do with mine and that's such a great idea.
