what pattern did you use to get your foam build helmet. I've seen A4, but here in the States I have trouble with the A3 that some people post. Looking good by the way.

Moonviper- I used Henrik Pileruds's foam helm. I modified a few pieces, especially the area where I connected the double hoses. I printed his forms out on 11x17 and they worked out fairly well. To make it work with the chest piece I have since trimmed the back a bit to make sure it doesnt rub.

Got some work done this weekend and got a chunk of materials I need to keep tthe build going. This was the first real chance Ive had to work on the build becuase of my new born.  The axe is coming along but now I may swich to something different material wise. Ill keep that updated as I can. Im trying to see how much I can keep the cost down but still make it able to stand up to a few hours of abuse.

 It was nice to see some progress. Hopefully this weeknd I can build the arms so I can do any adjustments to the shoulder armor before I continue. The chest piece will either have a eye of Horus in the center or a demon face with horns, I havnt decided yet. More experimentation to come. Once Im done with the chest and shoulders the legs and other parts will come along quickly. Im doing all the hard stuff early. Anyway...enjoy.

Well Im still at it, slowly but surely getting little parts completed. I got the arms frabricated and I began putting on Chaos-ey trimmings. Trying to get a couple hours in every week as life is hectic right now getting ready to move and taking care of two kids besides a full time job.  Hopefully by next weekend the chest, shoulders and arms will be rigged up and Ill begin working on the feet and legs. here are a few pictures of the arms before I started putting on the "bling"

Abaddon the despoiler decided I needed to make a foam surf board to hang on the wall in my sons room. So I got voluntold to do it immediately as it is so pressing it cannot wait. So I got some pink foam and began cutting. That little side project ate away at my armor building time. Im still not finished either I need to sand it into shape this weekend and seal it so she can paint it. Sheesh... Lousy Warmaster.

Anyway...

Looks good.  It sounds like you have a busy schedule, hang in there.  My build took about a year to do, and I only had the full time job part to worry about.

Still at it. Here is a quick update below. Both shoulder bells are constructed and I have begun forming the feet and the lower leg but nothing worth a phot yet. Trying to get my family moved from one apartment to a new house so no time to build this week. Once Im settled in the new place I am going full blast for all of September so I can concentrate on details come October to have this bad boy ready for halloween. Cool thing is with the new house, I will now not only have a garage to work in (rather than my living room) but I will also have a den/art studio to work in and I can lock the door to keep the kids out of my stuff. Looking forward to next month and getting some serious progress done on this thing.

Anyway here is a quick updated pic of teh chest and arms.

I am still chugging away with the build.I have been so busy that taking pics and posting them has been on my mind, yet not accomplished. I have the main suit built and now Im rigging it for wearing. only weapons and back pack still to build.

Absolutely fantastic work so far! I like the look of the horns & agree, the straight up look is a bit overdone. That sketch of the axe is really good. You gots some skrills man! What are you using for a smooth cover over the foam? Specifically what kind of coating? I'm using plasti-dip on mine for the time being but it's time-consuming & pricey :/

Quick update before work. Been extremely busy working on this build as well as regular life. Legs are built and rigged just no photos yet, lots of stuff is ready to plasti-dip, weapons are WIP. Ill be painting this coming weekend and if the Dark Gods are willing I will have this thing finished well before Halloween so I have a couple of days to touch up and make adjustments.

SickSick6-Thanks man! Yes plasti-dip is pricey, I may even just PVA coat a few pieces and paint to keep the cost down a bit. We shall see.

Anyway here is the upper body just about ready to paint. Plastic skulls and paper clay. Lots of sculpting and drying. I will try to post more photos soon.
