Tango89er- Im thinking probably a mid gray/brown with dark accents and lighter highlights. Similar to how the mini's would be painted.

Plan is (depending on the birth of my son) to seal the horns and begin painting them this weekend as well as start the mock up of my chain axe.

Well baby came, ten fingers, ten toes. Build time has been at a minimum but before the chaos of a newborn I had gotten a nice amount of work completed. built a shoulder to test materials to help it hold its shape, but nothing worth a photo yet.

I started my Axe. Here is the quick sketch design I did for it. I want to do something very Chaos-ey. This is not the final design but it will look something like this when complete. I already have a fair amount of work done on it, but haven't snapped any pictures yet. I will soon.

BWUD FOR DA BWUD GAWD!!!!

Primed the horns because the red foam was bugging the heck out of me. Also added in 1/2 inch bolts with washer and screw for easy adding and removal of the horns for now. That way I can easily paint and finish the helm without the horns in the way.

Then I jumped the gun and started painting the horns. I'm trying to decided which color scheme I want. Lots of dry brushing. Need to figure which one will look better with the black and gold color scheme. This is where the helm stands now.

Helmet looks nice & evil! I'd go with the white horns, looks better. It's hard to tell without the chest piece for comparison, but your horns might be a little big.

nonsense its chaos rules dont matter, this makes me wanna get back to my word bearer DA, guess ill put my other build on hold and finish off that one since its mostly done aside from detail work and a few pieces of armour

Cole45-Horns too big? If I thought I could pull it off without running into low flying aircraft I would have made horns similar to these...

khaynne and Lamia have it right. GO BIG or GO HOME! Thats why I chose chaos, becuase of all the ridiculous cool bling they get to sport!!!!

Rraijjar- No I wont keep it that yellow. The main body will be black and the trim will be gold. Thats just the yellow of the foam I used for the trim.

Kol Badar- Tyranids, yes very much the feel I wanted. I have actually been creating an entire backstory for the armor and the axe. I made it up just to help me
with the design. It helps with why he has this axe, where it came from and why he has those horns and other design aspects. Once I have it all fleshed out more I will post it just for fun.

I have the chest built, and one shoulder. The axe is in progress. Nothing worthy of pics just yet. I will update again soon when I have a little more to share.
