I have just received a communique via text message from Abbadon the despoiler (AKA my wife) who says "Your stupid glowing glasses arrived today"!

CLOTHAR- Yes, Im busy with a ton of stuff but I will do my best to put a few hours in every week and hopefully the build will continue to come along.

Rraijjar and Lamia- My wife is pretty cool, she just doesnt think a space marine costume that is 7' tall is a necessity. I strenuously disagree with her.

jim_rush51- Thank you. Those were more of a pain to make than I expected, but I am happy with the result.

I did get my "stupid" glospex yesterday and they are pretty cool. At least my daughter and I think so. [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /> I put a helmet liner in last night from an old hard hat so that beast of a helmet sits on my head nicely. I plan to finish the horns and start altering the glospex this weekend. I will post pictures again soon.

Well, I made some progress today. I modified the glospex and attached them to the inside of the helm. I added a mesh grill in the top intake and mouth area then added the grill bars.

I also began working on the horns. I decided against the traditional vertical horns and instead will have my horns facing forward and slightly up. Its just a look I prefer.
I haven't attached the horns yet as I want to do all the finish work except paint before
they become part of the helm.

Next Im going to do a few modifications to face area and add some trimming. I already drew out some templates and began the cuts but nothing to show just yet. Hopefully Ill have that all on in a few days.

Rraijjar- Ive been experimenting actually. Ive used a mixture of caulking, spackle, and wood filler. Having worked in construction for a long time I kind of know where it is appropriate to use each type to get the finish I desire.

Well, not much to update. I wasn't thrilled with the overall shape of the horns so I decided to add a little more sharp edges and organic look to them. In hindsight I could have redone the patterns and started over but I just decided to make it work. I cut out a few shapes in some thinner craft foam and sanded the edges down so they were lower profile and "blended" better with the horn. Some wood filler and caulking later and I much more happy with them. Once I get around to paint they will look sick.

I also added a new grill plate to the helm. I have cut out some more armor trim for the helmet but havn't had a chance to attach them yet.

Also I started sculpting some demon faces on styro-foam to make my demon infested chain axe but the pictures were bad due to poor lighting. Ill take new ones soon and post those.
