A few photos from Armies on parade, 2 different GW stores.
So this is what I've found out.
Upper arm armour is unnecessary and removing them actually helps with movement.
I may discard the thigh armour for wearing it at November due to the heat and it's awkward to walk around in, with rubbing thighs.
The repaint job is going to take a whole day and the next suit of armour I make will be painted a different way.

Looks like you were photobombed by a penguin?

Oh, that kid is hilarous. He got beat up a lot as a kid. Total Penguin!!!  [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' />

Great build. I am sure you have considered it, why didn't you go with a clear coat on the outside? Didn't want to mess with any filigree you might put on later?

I'll be sure to pass on the penguin message to him, lol.

I wouldn't do a clear coat but It would still flake off due to me layering the foam with Duct tape before painting, using hot glue near over the cracks makes it a little stronger but there's not much I can do about it.

Ah, I see. Putting a stiffer backing on it would likely not help matters much then. Unless you put a stiffer backing on it and then hit the front with something to stiffen it there as well... but with all that extra work it starts to sound like you are building another suit whereas this one rocks already.

Either get white Dutch tape or make armor for a chapter that matches your tape color [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' />

Don't lose the thigh armor if you can help it!
It's the one thing I always want to add to my builds because I think it really finishes the armored look

@finnlock - I can fix the thighs, they're a little tight around the knees so I'll probably end up cutting a line up the inside and putting in a wedge then repainting. The rubbing I can kind of deal with. But it's the heat of November I'm worried about.
It was about 22 Degrees C and it felt like 30 when I had the suit on. November is Summer for me, with averages of 30-35 probably higher this year. >.<;;

Cheers guys, the weekend was pretty awesome. And it wasn't to hot either. Well it was overcast and kinda raining. [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /> Ideal for wearing suits of armour made of foam.

The presenter is reading my purity seal.
The ones visible were:
"Thou shalt not call a flamer a novelty toaster."
"Power armour does not make a sister of battle look fat."
"Thou shalt not laugh manically while purging non-believers."

Stairs were the bane of my existence though, going up and down them was a nightmare.
I also trained a couple people in armour assembly etc.

I think the next time I cosplay I'll make sure to have a retinue, need someone to carry the banner and my Helmet. To many item not enough hands.
