Author Topic: Newb Inquisitor Power Armor Build (Read 7887 times)

This my first stab at a set of power armor that will make it to completion, I've experimented with shaping before but this is the first project to make it this far. This armor is meant to be boffer durable as it will be my main LARP costume so I am sacrificing some detail in exchange for mobility. And you may notice that I seem to have an aversion to measuring I just tend to 'eye things up' so hopefully its not too lopsided.

This is still early stages I have some internal reinforcing and fitting to do, I made it intentionally larger so i could add pieces to fit afterwards.

Wow, nice work!

I've very impressed. Can't wait to see the others sized up.

I really like the details on the chest and legs, the neck piece is my fav part so far.

Things went better than I thought, thus here are the fruits of my unexpected free time.

@ wookieegunner The pictures don't really do it justice but it is rather low profile and low detail to avoid it getting damaged when I take a hit from a foam chainsword, I'm hoping it will have a beaten brass feel once it has a coat of PD and some paint.

@ CLOTHAR I'm in general coating closed cell foam with craft eva foam (fun foam) the closed cell can be forced into awkward shapes then the craft foam smooths it out. It will eventually be given a seal coat and painted.
