Here is the first version of my commissar costume. I have plans to improve it, but I had to finish it by a certain date so I didn't have time (or money) to do everything I wanted...

Looks like you spend the time you had rather well; for 'quick and dirty', it looks rather nice [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

Very cool, I like the way the imp eagle came out and the fingers on your powerfist , care to share how you formed them, they made out of foam? [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

Your on your way to having a very nice costume, keep up the good work!

Awesome!- the glove is fab

I think it's so cool how every commissar costume on this board is completely different.

This is just a stab in the dark, but did ya use a hockey glove for that powerfist?  I'm just curious as that looks quite impressive of an idea.

Thanks for the comments =)

Here's a bunch of pics of the power fist.

@ Finnlock, yeah, the fist is made out of foam. It's a type of foam used by campers and such to sleep on, not sure what it is called, but here in Denmark it's often used by LARP'ers to make weapons because you can get a lot for very little money. Both the power fist and the armour is made from it.
I actually got a lot of ideas and inspiration from the thread you made about your own powerfist =)

@ MalleusIST, no, the glove is just an old winter glove I had lying around. I'm not sure what it is made out of, but it isn't particularly thick. I think a hockey glove would be too massive, you wouldn't be able to move your fingers properly...

@ toydivision, Yeah, there's a lot of awesome commissar costumes here =) It would be unbelievably cool to have a picture of them together =D I can just imagine it, a big group of commissars and a single guardsman =P Any guardsmans nightmare

Very cool, That was exactly how I was going to do the finished fingers on mine [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

Your's look like they where sewn on, which is why I asked. It came out nicely. I used airsoft BB's to make the rivits on mine, are you planing to do anything more to your's?

I think adding some rivits or bolt heads to it would take up a notch [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

Also, do you have another nerf recon gun? I have ,in the works, something I think you'er going to like.. alot.. but you need 2 of them [img]http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' />

I assume it's the holes on top of the finger plates that makes it look like they were sewn on? They are from were I held the parts together with metal wire when I started building it so it would be easier to figure out how evrything should fit together.
The finger are held on by glue, but it's only the outermost digit thats glued on.
And yeah, I might work some more on it, I'd like to have some more plating on the side of the hand and in the palm to give it a more complete look. I wouldn't mind moving the skull since it's off-centre (which I didn't notice untill the glue was dry), but I'm afraid it would riun both the skull and the arm-part...

No I only have this nerfgun, and I've got some vague plans to make it look more like an actual boltpistol...
